Bakery Wrapper / Sanitation

Job Summary:

At Costco plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of bakery products by following strict sanitation procedures. This position involves handling bakery wrappers, packaging bakery items, and maintaining a hygienic environment within the bakery department.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to rigorous cleaning and sanitizing protocols for all surfaces and equipment used in the bakery department to prevent cross-contamination.
• Maintain proper hand hygiene by washing hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling bakery wrappers.
• Conduct quality checks on wrappers to ensure they are free from defects or contaminants before use.
• Carefully package bakery items in wrappers while following proper hygiene practices, such as wearing gloves and using utensils to minimize contact.
• Ensure that packaged bakery items are stored and displayed in a clean and sanitary manner to maintain their quality and freshness.
• Participate in regular inspections to verify compliance with sanitation standards and regulations.
• Garnishes, weighs, wraps, labels and merchandises bakery products.
• Re-stocks supplies and ingredients.
• Cleans and sanitizes bakery, bakery equipment, and bakery utensils.
